Please see the attached PDF File. After speaking to multiple communities, staff, and parent stakeholders, we are launching our Inaugural Black History Essay Contest!!
The letter/flyer is attached and main office is making copies for each student. Please make sure that it goes home by the close of business this Friday the 16th. This PDF will also be accessible on our website.
Please note that this is NOT a mandatory grade, and you can offer this as a bonus grade/assignment if you wish. We know that many of you are working on SLOs and other assessments.
Each child can choose to participate or not participate. We are asking for each homeroom teacher to select two top essays to be turned in to the main office to be scored via the rubric that is attached.
